David Mayenfisch started his freelance photographer’s activity in 1994 as a portraitist for record labels, artists, designers and magazines. Aware of the growing importance of the role of images within a society that becomes more and more digitized, he focuses on institutional communication and cultural advertising and also in corporate and industrial needs for businesses, local and international organization.
From 2003 on, along with portraits and staged visuals, David involves himself in documentary photography. He collaborates with the Geneva Canton environment office and produces a body of both technical and didactic photography about waste management, reduction and reclamation and also about environmental and human resources.
This photography process reflects a current challenge: how to consume less or different, wide or tight shots, yielding habits and practice documents and testimonials, thoughts about our society and its economics, environmental and energy challenges without forgetting the human aspect of this issue.
This regular collaboration outcome builds an inexhaustible resource of images, experience and encounters with specialized businesses and their teams.
From 2005 to 2018 a wide amount of theses images were produce with the collaboration of Cathy Tissot with the Tissot Mayenfisch studio.
